Understanding the digital challenges and complexity of strategic communication of institutional organizations in the post-pandemic era. Semio-discursive analysis, semi-structured interviews, organizational ethnography, netnographic analysis and network analysis.

Expected results

Understand the digital stakes on political/public communication at the international level in the pandemic/post-pandemic era, study the digital practices of professional diplomats, their strategies for the fabrication of narratives and the establishment of networks of influence, analyze the strategies and stakes of territorial marketing, territorial intelligence and territorial communication in the post-epidemic era, develop partnerships with international colleagues and their universities.

Key dates

May 2022: Organization of a panel on Francophone approaches to public diplomacy at the ICA Congress (International Communication Association, main conference);
• May 2022: Organization of a post-conference of the ICA Congress (International Communication Association, main conference) to question the digital practices of professional diplomats at INALCO.
• End of 2022: Organization of a thematic issue on public diplomacy; digitalization and the (post-)pandemic (AAA publication: end of 2022, journal “Communication and the Public”, ESCI, Sage; For a publication end of 2023)
• 2023: Submission of a thematic dossier on PD and constructivism to the journal Hermes (proposal: editorial board in June 2022, for 2024?)
