Culture Media Lab
Culture MediaLab is a transversal group that brings together researchers from the Dicen laboratory (in particular from the University of Paris Nanterre) interested in experimenting with new theoretical and empirical approaches to study communicational and social phenomena linked to the worlds of culture and of creation.
Culture Media Lab stands out for three elements of originality:
- We aim to develop natively digital research methods adapted to the study of communicational and social phenomena of the contemporary world;
- We favour the analysis of natively digital data: social media, mobile applications, web archives, Wikipedia, scientific blogs, scientometric databases and others;
- We are mainly interested in phenomena related to the evolution and renewal of the worlds of culture and creation in the digital context.
Culture Media Lab activities are organized in interaction with a large network of academic, institutional, associative and business players. They can take the form of responses to calls for projects, expertise in the public or private sector, collaborations between colleagues or educational projects as part of our work-study programs.
The objective of the Culture Media Lab is to give national and international visibility to the expertise and to the projects carried out by Dicen researchers working in this field, in particular with the aim of attracting new partnerships.
